Gravatar Um, I am not sorry to see McCain go. When times are tough, the tough get going, or, as in the case of McCain, they snuggle up next to the current Republican president, no matter how treacherous and incompetent he might be.

Having said all that; I too, might have voted against Clinton for McCain; but that is not saying much (considering how I feel about Clinton).

Guess it's all a moot point now.

But Gore is not.

Are you saying you wouldn't be excited at all if he entered the race?

Gravatar I would be excited if he entered the race, but I suspect that he's doing better work outside of politics than he would be able to do inside of politics. In other words, I think his good aims are best accomplished where he is now.

Gravatar "...given the choice between John McCain and Hillary Clinton in 2008, I would probably vote for McCain. Given the choice between Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani, it's Hillary Clinton. No question."

Does this mean you think Clinton has - or is soon likely to have - the Democratic nomination sewn up?

Kat

Gravatar I wouldn't say sewn up (thank God), but she's clearly a front runner at this time. No votes have been cast, and I'm hoping that once we actually start talking at the ballot box she falls away. Fingers crossed.

And it's not even so much about her. It's about the dance of Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton. We're a big country. 300 million people. We can't do better than find two families to hand off the presidency between? Please.
