Yeah, we too got punk'd by the Chattanooga Rove Porker Crew. It was, in the end, a classic Rovian misdirection.
We started writing about GWB43.com on March 15, and because of that we were targeted for the faked photo, planted in comments.
Whether the good ol' boys at Coptix really are in cahoots with the RNC or not doesn't matter. They successfully steered most of the blogosphere away from looking into this for weeks. I call it emergent conspiracy, where various players act independently, for their own purposes, towards a common effect.
And we're not bitter or anything, either.

It worked out okay for me. I got a lot of traffic out of the posts at my own little blog and in the end I think it shifted the focus for a short time but it also kept the story alive. I'm not sure gwb43.com would have been scrutinized so carefully if you hadn't been so relentless in pushing the story.
Ultimately, I think the joke is still is on Rove.
