"Fresh Direct" grocery delivery (NYC) is fantastic. I just moved from San Francisco and yes, Safeway is superb. Fresh Direct is as efficient, timely and courteous. They will call customer to notify them if they are behind schedule, too. However, Safeway, in San Francisco at least, has them beat when it comes to choosing fresh fish. Fresh Direct is worth checking out.
