I didn't vote for him, I actively campaigned (not just in blog form) against him, and I disagree with him on nearly every issue. But I still congratulated him, just as you have. I'd hope that's still the American way and that we can follow John McCain's gracious example. I hope that hissy fits about pessimism and conspiracy don't become too commonplace on the right. I'd like to see the right use this as an opportunity to learn, regroup, rethink and come back better for having lost.

This is NOT new. It had its genesis in Ronald Reagan when th Left went bonkers. The right simply turned around and went after Clinton with it, and the Left. Now the right.
On and on it goes. Nor did Obama's victory 'repudiate' any conservatism - since that would mandate a conservative as President. Given the debt Bush accumulated, this is sorely lacking.
