I think your compliments of JD Drew's hustle may have come a little prematurely though. If Trot Nixon had played a single into an inside-the-park HR for Michael Young like Drew just did, people here would be apoplectic about the Dirt Dog.
And Fred Smerlas running for office would be too funny to NOT follow. At last, Tom Menino could say that he's not the least-polished public official in the state.

You can lay off Buck(mostly because I think Buck secretly hates McCarver for getting his dad fired and has been a lot snippier w/ McCarver lately) but the McCarver skewering should stay...oh and anything Joe Morgan related too.

Thanks, guys. It's weird, I'm still trying to figure out how to approach the Fox column - I'm not quite comfortable yet being the dinkus that I am here, and writing about the other 29 times in the Nine Innings format takes some getting used to. I'm pretty psyched about it, though.
