That Fillet-O'-Fish ad was profoundly, incredibly annoying. I watched the ad once. As a result, I'd only eat that god-awful breaded whitefish patty and bleached "bread" bun if I was about to die of hunger.
Crap food. Crap ad. Crap company.

Can't argue with any of that, Max. Especially the last part.

"There's nothing that infuriates me more as a fan than an Orsillo/Remy giggle fit while the Sox are getting pasted."
Thank god I'm not the only one. I like Orsillo and Remy, but it's obvious the team is having problems it would be nice to, you know, discuss those problems.

Agreed that the Fo'F ad is 110% annoying...I was about two seconds away from throwing a brick through my TV, went on waaay too long.
Speaking of McD's, bravo on your McDonough comments. Of course Sean would never be a rah-rah Sox playcaller constantly shilling NESN's programming lineup which is exactly why he's not in that booth with Remy today, and us Sox fans are the losers for it.
I don't want to sound conceited about the baseball team I love, but this proud and historic franchise deserves better announcers than the likes of Orsillo and the milquetoast Glenn Geffner.

Maybe I'm weird (okay, I am weird, I'm a Red Sox fan), but I don't mind, and kind of enjoy, the giggle-fests. They happen when the Sox are blowing someone out, they happen when the Sox are getting blown out. I laugh. They're amusing.
I do wish McDonough was still around, though...

I remember well watching Doug Mirabelli play for the Giants AAA team in Fresno. It's amazing how far he's come and how much he's grown -- literally and physically -- since then. Yet another player that the Giants let slip away.

While I too often think of the '03 and the '04 teams as extensions of each other, it really is incorrect to describe the "Cowboy Up" antics of the '04 team. That honorific should be reserved solely for the '03 squad.
I believe the '04 team preferred to be called "idiots."

Good point, Phil, but it's funny, I actually do catch myself thinking of '03 and '04 as one continuous season. I'm convinced '04 doesn't happen without '03's disappointment. I still wish Todd Walker was part of the '04 team.
