Of course it strikes me that the parallels there are interesting with Nixon resigning (rather than being shot) and then replaced with Fod (rather than LBJ). I'm not sure precisely how to map that to present day, unless George Bush somehow departs leaving the Dick (shudder) or maybe some other caretaker administration in place before 2008.
