Several years ago I had an argument with one of those pious fools about the connection between metzitzah b'peh and herpes simplex. Interestingly he told me that Rav Eliashiv had been advised by "the biggest experts" that herpes was not transmitted that way but because I wasn't a "real" physician like them I wouldn't know that.

Sigh. Learn all day and they still know squat.

The Yated mistranslated the Hebrew word, "Tzahevet" which carries both meanings: jaundice and hepatitis. I beat if you look up haaretz.com since its inception, you'll find the same mistake.
