I find your methodology, while slightly humorous, to be entirely inappropriate. I disagree with her assertion as you do, but it is just her opinion. Why not present a different view honestly, instead of raising the motzi-shem-ra tinged impression that she condones something that is obviously deplorable.
There is no mitzvah to be relentlessly negative in everything you blog about. For such a long entry, you said nothing but disparaged another Jew with whom you disagree. Wow, what an accomplishment.

I think that this mockery of Mrs. Katz is reprehensible! She is a hard working teacher, mother and community member and is an all around amazing person. You disgusting children should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope you take this post down immediately.

I link to and refer to Pravda Ne'eman because it (well, generally) doesn't contain these sorts of mean-spirited personal attacks, but thoughtful (albeit humorous) critiques. But this...and in the 3 Weeks for pete's sake.
This post was below Pravda's usual standard and it might be kedai to write Rebbetzin Katz an apology.

I don't understand the criticism of this post. It is a very reasonable argument against an absurd posting. What Katz did in that post was blame the victim (or at least say that ONE reason that people are victimized is their one fault). That is clearly a reprehensible thing to say when talking about an abuse victim, as MD demonstrates. Why is it allowed when talking about a fellow Jew being treated with basic Ahavas Yisroel?
M.D. just made that exact point in a more entertaining way than I did and that is why he blogs and I only comment.

What Katz did in that post was blame the victim (or at least say that ONE reason that people are victimized is their one fault).
There's a difference between saying that wives are abused because of their behavior (which really is blaming the victim) and saying that baalei teshuva see the world in different ways because of their attitude. I think Toby Katz is saying that people overstate the problem. It is something to take into consideration.
Doughboy: To be fair, TK was not referring to an abuse victim, but rather BTs and converts who are victims of discrimination. I was just extending her logic a bit. See the linked article from X-currents.

This post was an entirely reasonable response. If any apologies are called for here, they are on her part, to the BTs and geirim whom she blamed for causing people to discriminate against them, and to the authors of the comments at whom she exploded.

I was using the phrase "blaming the victim" to extend to victims of discrimination as well as evidenced by the last line of the first paragraph that I wrote. I'm not sure what about my post makes it look like I think that she is referring to victims of abuse?
