The ONLY reason I went to the prom was because my girlfriend of 4 years at the time was expecting it. Ghaa, I would have preferred a night at the movies followed by our usual hour long makeout session. She is long gone now and my wife is not a 'dress-up' sort of gal. She would prefer going to the movies and finish up the night with an hour long ... ummm, session.
I never went, while I have the lovely and talented Mr Man to keep me warm now, in high school i was one of the girls who never got asked out.
I think l I lived in the theatre all four years.
They are prom dresses, the website is even xciteprom.com... I saw the guy on tv and several time he said prom. and sis mention the one that is the most revealing was an accident after the runway model "put it on wrong" and drew a ton of attention and is one of his better sellers.
I saw the site, xciteprom.com, and a lot of them show far too much skin this side of Vegas/AC cabaret.
Hey, you had theater... I was in the subset of kids that wasn't a jock, a theater person, an honor roller, a nerd or anything else.
I simply 'was'.
Thanks, Charlie, for forcing me to think 10 years in advance - my daughter will be the first in line for the $1000 dress, limo, etc. I had a JCPenney wanna be, moved up to $250 dress, and finally the aqua mermaid dress - what a vision I was!! Too bad there weren't tanning booths back then.
So now that you've got me sentimental and full of dread, I thank you.

So we can set these two kids up, knowing that he won't expect a tart and she won't expect to be groped!
Now that that is settled... tell me why the prom was a such big deal. Either thinking as you were then, or in retrospect.
