I am so confused at the decision to put Imus on the air....I'm sure he has a following.....but it has spoiled morning radio for me...He mumbles and sadly has some sort of speech impediment or medical condition....however, there are no more phone in conversations with the general public....and too much of his personal opinion which got him into trouble before....I don't hate him I just wish the old programming was back...who did it- Borneman or Boyce?

No one at WABC did-in Sliwa & Co. Citadel bought the ABC RADIO Network when Disney sold them last year. Citadel believes the Imus in the Morning nationally syndicated program is worth the cost of losing the local talent coast-to-coast.
In the end, of course, the ratings will bear out the decision. Imus, as near as I can tell, has no speech impediment, but is just curmedgeon. His fans don't mind, and I count myself one of them.
