Thanks for the link to this post...so did you celebrate on Wed? How's he feeling?

My 12 year old who leaves a bell and a note for Santa every year (very 'Polar Express') plays along well w/her "I'll always believe" missives, but I think she'd even balk at shifting a day, so it's pretty dang cool your son so graciously helped out his sib by deferring/delaying...as that is SOME serious, selfless maturity on the child w/a heart front. Great stuff.

p.s. This year the 'reindeer had the blues' and left a blue bell for her, so clearly she 'gets it' too, but loves to humor me. Very convincing. Since we were all still so blue without our dog it seemed a good year to let those blues turn to icy/white sheets of a rhyming storyline about Santa and the reindeer blues. (yep, frustrated kids' book writer, clearly, eh?) Hope all are feeling better...
