Nobody asked me, but.... I'll accept your comments (please remain civil!)

Gravatar I believe fist down is 'I'm going to slow down' and the others ... just 'hand jive'.

Gravatar The hand signals have been around for as long as there have been bikers.

I rode as a young adult and ride yet again as a 44 year old. What do they mean?

It's just a biker/motorcyclists way of acknowledging the other rider...sort of a sign of recognition-"hey, bro...keep both wheels on the ground, dude".

It's just as simple as that.

Now, some chopper riders have no turn signals and they may be signaling for a turn or what-not, but most times, there are two riders involved in the exchange of "low" signs.

Hope it's a bit clearer.

Gravatar Ha! My dog would love that! Don't think she'd need the goggles though. She keeps her head hanging out of the passenger window even at speeds of 65 MPH.

I Don't think she'd sit still for long on a bike either. The 1st bird or rabbit she'd see would cause her to leap from the bike and become roadkill. (That darned Labrador hunting dawg instinct).

Gravatar How cool is that dog!

Gravatar Gotta love the pooch!

At the stop sign, the pup licked the riders face and then settled back in for the rest of the ride.

Clearly, this wasn't the first time this dog was on a hog!

Gravatar Recently saw something similar, a bike with a sidecar. Pup was in the sidecar with his own seatbelt, and was wearing his own goggles! Loved it!
