I am not an expert on global warming. However, part of my job is covering the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, one of the leading research institutions in the world.
I've done many stories on climate change, and there's only a handful of scientists who believe global warming to be a hoax. Even the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change -- made up of 2,500 top-notch scientists from around the world -- find human activity is largely to blame for the speed of global warming.
Are there scientists who refute this? Absolutely? But do the OVERWHELMING majority of scientists believe global warming is a genuine threat. You betcha.

If there is Global Warming, there's not a damned thing we can do about it.
And for every list of scientists that say it is a problem, there are at least as many as say it isn't. In my day, the 'scientific method' was never a 'consensus'.
We all have those swirly lightbulbs in our homes now; tell me how am I to eventually dispose of them without a HAZMAT violation?
The planet is FINE.
The science is still poorly understood (ask those scientists who were surprised at the growing Arctic sea ice).
This planet has lived through a lot more than any SUV-inspired heat wave (if such a thing ever existed).
