Bloggers unite!! Take a stand against "The Man."

Sorry, I don't know what came over me.

I don't know what they expect to find on our blogs. Recipes? Curriculum choices? Pictures of our children? Communist plots to overtake the goverment in between carpooling? Give me a break. O.K. I feel better now!

Gravatar I saw that cartoon and wanted to get a copy of it too! My kids and I laughed so hard.

~I wouldn't worry too much, FOX likes to play up the gov't control hysteria (IMO). Listen to NPR for awhile and you won't be concerned about freedom of speech for too long!

Gravatar Are blogs more of a threat than the personal websites that have been around since the internet began?

To be fair, they'd have to try to police the whole freaking internet.
And, if you wanted to, how would you do it?

I just don't see it.

Gravatar Don't governments have enough work to do without looking for something else that the tax payer must fund?

Love the cartoon!

Gravatar ROTFLOL! Funny cartoon!

I am so glad to hear the interview went well, I get hives thinking of such things. It's good to hear that it wasn't scary and they didn't say "What! You homeschool?" You always hear that homeschoolers get into colleges fine, but in the back of my mind I still wonder if WE will.

I'd have to agree with Sparrow about the FOX news thing, but I guess that anything can happen. It seems just plain silly to me though.

Have an awesome day!

Gravatar I love that cartoon!
And I am with you on the government interference. I am more and more leery of any gov. regulation of anything the older I get. Does that mean I am getting wiser? I hope so! But the blog thing- seriously- they must be crazy to even suggest regulating them. Although I am not too fond of the ACLU, I would hope they would step up and defend my right to blog as I wish!

Gravatar I suppose they could regulate all blogs with a certain size readership. So Daily Kos would be watched and most of the rest of us wouldn't. That's kind of a wishy-washy solution, but compromise is what politics is all about, right? Ummm, well it used to be.

Gravatar I'm with you Randi - if they try to control our free speech they'd better control mainline media's free speech too - don't ya think?
