Hillary is very smart and very calculating and will do and use whatever and whom ever she can to win, I dare say she is smarter than Bill ever was.
But to vote for her purely because she is a woman is irresponsible. To vote for ANY candidate because of their race, gender, or promises is irresponsible. You should vote for the person that best represents your views, your beliefs, and your issues.

Bill always acknowledged that Hillary was smarter than him. I agree that she is very calculating and shrewd, but I guess you have to be to get to the upper levels of the political arena. She was one of the primary "brains" behind getting him to the White House.

Regina, I also agree with your last statement, but some folks often get intimidated because they think that if they do (instead of getting sidetracked by race, gender, etc.), they might be criticized for being a traitor, sell-out, etc.

While I'm with you on you main point, I will dispute you on a couple of particulars:

1. Voting is not our privelege (privelege denoting something benevolently given to you) voting is our right
2. While I think it’s foolish to vote for Hillary Clinton just because she’s female for the reasons you’ve noted and more (though I understand the natural compulsion for many females); one has a right to vote for anyone or not vote for anyone for any reason. Your vote is a dictatorship of one; not a democracy of others opinion.

But again, good work with your analysis.

People voting for Hillary because she is a female should be no surprise. This is the same tactic that blacks are using to support Obama, at least the ones I know.

Most cannot tell you what platform either one stands on. But people vote for the person they identify most with. If you're superficial it’s for the looks.
