Something is not quite tracking for me. The author is a lesbian who believes that gay sexual identity is not an immutable characteristic established prior to puberty? Or is she saying that it's not reasonable to believe that gays can be infallibly diagnosed at such a young age? Either proposition seems surprising in view of the fixed argument that homosexuality is an immutable characteristic that gays know from childhood, which I've heard in various forums. Whatever the answer, I think I agree with her.

It defies biology and psychology to say that every homosexul person is hardwired to be homosexual. Or to say that every person's sexuality is hardwired one way or the other. I can believe that some people are hardwired. I cannot believe that all are. People can develop sexual attractions and fetishes for other species and all manner of strange things. Sexuality is also a response to learned stimuli. It is a complex interaction of stimuli, physiology, and psychology.

How could there have been so many heterosexual men engaged in homosexual acts in ancient Greece if sexuality were hardwired.

I suspect the truth is that it is hardwired but like most modern electronics, the software can change the function of the hardware. (For those of you who aren't engineers, I can't count the number of times that we have have able to use software changes to change the functionality of hardware to correct failures (timing) ro add features.)

Robert: If Ms Bruce's authority is some version of Mill's "harm to others" principle, then she does have an authority to appeal to that -- while falling short of Christian morality -- lets her be consistent in opposing paedophilia while permitting adult homosexuality. Andrew Sullivan is similar.

According to this, there's already a SCOTUS member on board with that program:


"Given that homosexual advocates are in a full court press to lower the age of consent as low as it can go, and pro-pedophile sitting Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg 's documented advocacy of lowering the age of consent to 12 years old, parents should be horrified that there are so few politicians, like Sen. Santorum, actually defending the family," Timothy Chichester, CFAA president, said April 23.

Chichester was referring to a paper authored by Ginsburg entitled "Sex Bias in the U.S. Code," which was prepared for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights in April 1977

The allegation was further substantiated by Robert Knight, director of CWA's Culture Institute, in "Homosexual Behavior and Pedophilia," an article he co-authored with the Family Research Council's Frank York.

"When U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an attorney for the ACLU, she co-authored a report recommending that the age of consent for sexual acts be lowered to 12 years of age," the article points out.

I have a dear friend and colleague who is a homosexual man. This summer we were gathered at the boss' office to do some HR paperwork. Our other colleague had been out on maternity leave (having twin boys!), and while she was meeting with the boss, the homosexual colleague and I were holding these lovely baby boys, only a few months old.

Said colleague starts singing and dancing around with the baby, singing "We want you! We want you! We want you as a new recruit!" (From the Village People, In the Navy.) He's not a veteran, so I don't think he was referring to enlistment in the military.

I think he expected me to laugh; but every homosexual male that's ever opened up to me was abused sexually somewhere around age 10-12 (typical) or earlier...including this particular colleague.

I should think it funny that a homosexual man is joking around about recruitment by sexual abuse with a MONTHS OLD BABY BOY?

Shockwaves of deep revulsion went through me.

Us "breeders" don't often get to see moments of raw honesty like that in a pro-"gay" campaign that's being waged in our society.

I want to understand.

How can homosexuality be "hardwired" or genetic?

Isn't it obvious that gay sex cannot produce children?

Now, of course, I have heard of gay men who were married and later found out that they were gay - so that could account for some of the passing on of genetic "gayness" - but, isn't it safe to conclude that on the average, gay genes would be experiencing a downward pressure. Doesn't it make sense that gay men are most likely to not engage in reproductive sex and therefore, over time, the number of gay men (with the gay gene) will eventually cease to exist?!

But homosexual advocates are continuing to state that 10% of the population is gay and that it has always hovered around 10%.

Well if 10% of the population is gay - it can be from genetics.

The attempt to try and link genetics to gayness is nothing more than an attempt to seek victimhood. After all, if I was born this way, I can't be responsible for not living up to your standards of what is normal behavior.

The attempt to sexualize children is very important to the gay movement. If children are not sexualized, the gay movement will run out of steam as the new generation become revulsed by the sexual proclivities of the prior generation - unless of course the gays suceed in blurring the line between these generations and they pull the next generation in to sexual deviancy before they even know Algebra.

I can except the fact that God made certain individuals who are not inclined to be attracted to members of the opposite sex. In a different time, these individuals would have ben free to live a celibate life. In today's times these individuals are forced to identify themselves sexualy. Celebacy is not allowed. And we have Hugh Hefner and Larry Flint, as well as Margret Sanget to thank for this.

Just like you say that we have the Bishops that we want.....well homosexuality is a phenomenon of the same origen.

As a society, we have accpeted the need to call pornography free speech and to accept contraception as nothing more than a "Marrital Aid".

Porn and Contraception are the lynch pins of the societal decay that has occurred in our country. Porn and contraception are what ultimately holds up open homosexuality. They will ultimately be what holds up legalized pedophillia. Our society's attempt blame pedophillia on the homosexual is an act of extreme narcissism. Ultimately a school in New York for gay kids was made possible by contracepting adults from the 1920's.
