Excellent post from Fr. Rob Johansen. The bishops should never have tinkered with the Holy Days of Obligation the way they did. And if they felt they absolutely had to tinker, they should have just added two more: Ash Wednesday and the Annunciation. The former usually sees packed churches anyway, and the latter could have a pro-life theme.
