YOU read Slashdot, Mark? Shame on you. |
|
Nope. Somebody sent me the link. |

I got one of those the other day, but it had an interesting spin on it. The guy claimed to be a missionary who had been left with large amounts of money by 'some soldiers' who were later killed in some sort of mini-war or coup or something. He, being dedicated to preaching about the apocalypse, has no need of or interest in money and would like it to be used for philanthropic purposes, and if I am willing to do this, he will gladly transfer it to my bank account. (All I have to do is promise to give it all to charity) |

Good, hopefully these Nigerian scammers will leave my email box alone now. Btw, that site is hilarious! I particularly like the photos of Big Bird and a pterodactyl he sent to 'Dr. Elvis' and the photo of Dick Nixon to some 'Senator'. Good sense of humor this fellow. I personally prefer the delete button myself... |

Curse you, Mark! Now I've wasted my afternoon splitting my sides over that guy's tales of turning the tables on the spammers! |

www.scamorama.com has even more exploits of anti-scammers, including the anti-scammer who got a Nigerian e-mailer to send HIM some gold, as a "good faith gesture." |
