BTW, Buenos Aires is in Argentina, Mark.
It appears far too many people have no sense of the sacred anymore. Blasphemy requires that sense first.

Funny that the article does not mention Maradona's greatest miracle: leading the team from Naples to two league championships. Now, that is worth meditating ...
Perhaps his "church" should ask for his canonization before he dies, since by that time most people will likely have forgotten him.

Yeah, it's Argentina, not Brazil.
A rather interesting fact about Diego Maradona is that during a 1986 quarterfinal soccer World Cup match, he scored a goal using his hand (illegal in soccer). The referee didn't see the handball, allowed the goal, and Argentina went on to win the World Cup.
When asked about the goal, Maradona claimed it was "the hand of God" that sent the ball into the net. In light of his 1986 comment that his hand was "the hand of God", it's ironic that he now has a church worshipping him.
