The shamrock....St.Patrick's Day....Guinness ....see ya later!!

An idea whose time has come?

Happy generic holiday
I give you praise and thanks
That I can store up copies
Where I just fill in the blanks.
It's all the same old hooey
That is written out each time.
To specify from date to date
Just seems like petty crime.
So happy happy merry merry
All your dreams come true.
But if you don't mail the right card
On each holiday- I'm blue.

Gerard - on the money again, as always. This is the time of year I dread, grit my teeth to endure, and rejoice when January 2 comes and its all over with for another year. The one thing from October 30-January 2 that has meaning for me is Christmas Eve/Christmas Mass (or service during my non-Catholic days). That is the one thing that hits home for me. As for the rest of the stuff from October 30-January 2, I could do well without it.
