No! Panzerpope will slay the heretics and evildoers and have them all bowing before our mighty God in (reverent) worship!

3) A hiatus means you don't post.

One of my spies in Seattle told me about the comments made by a priest (Fr. Murphy -- there, I said it! --)at Mass at the Cathedral before the local media. "This is not the Pope I would have chosen, etc." And going on to sound off why some elements of the Church should resist him. Then going on the impugn St. Pius X, as Benedict XV was a moderate succesor to that "oppressive" Pope...making a dig at the present Holy Father's choice of name.
It makes me want to vomit! What a chancery turd!
In contrast, in D.C. at the National Shrine we had a wonderful, introductory synopsis of who the new Holy Father is.
Long live the Pope!

Jay:

And "owning a blog" means I get to do whatever I like, particularly when history is being made. A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.

Mark-
Congrats on getting a mention at Novus Ordo Watch. I guess that's as much of an endorsement of your orthodoxy as Andrew Sullivan's constant tirades!

I got a chuckle out of Novus Ordo Watch's headline:

They Have A Pope

"They", indeed.

Mark,

Keep posting. Despite what the other "Jay" says.

When they elected JP2 it was obvious he was the best qualified to deal with the external threat of the Communist empire.

Ben 16 is clearly the best qualified to deal with the internal threat of unbelievers inside the Church.

Remember that JP2 defeated the Communists by CONVERTING their leaders. Nice approach, that. Can Ben 16 convert the dissidents? With God, all things are possible.

Mar R.

I am a member of the cathedral parish in Seattle and we have no Fr. Murphy on staff. The pastor is Fr. Michael Ryan and he is too polite or politic to say something like you quoted. Maybe a Jesuit from Seattle U. filling in at the Mass?

Arnold, you are right...it was Fr. Murphy. Irish names all look alike to me

Arnold, I am an idiot...I meant it was Fr. Ryan...I've been getting too little sleep.

Wise advice, Mark.

As usual.

And blog whenever you want. That's what it's for.

As for Fr. Ryan, or Murphy, or whoever: Why would anyone be surprised? A Jesuit Priest (and associate Editor of America Magazine)on Scarborough Country last night looked like he was ready to cry.

His Holiness Benedict XVI just became pope. I don't expect Legion to throw down their arms yet.
