Truly wonderful news! Congratulations!

I'm doing a little snoopy dance right now!!!!

Secret Agent Man is giving your book high praise on his blog. I can not wait to get my hands on it!

YAY!!!

Oh, I see you referenced SAM's blog post below....

It was worth repeating though.

Congratulations, Mark. And welcome (almost) back.

Blessed be God Who Lives Forever. Our Webmaster's Major Project is now A Book. Looking forward to unwrapping it after FedEx/UPS/DHL/some other carrier wings it to Chez G.E. Meanwhile prayers still being offered for victims of Katrina. N.O. Mayor Hagin tells WWL Teevee that 80% of Big Easy is under water. Yacht Club destroyed. 9000 people still stuck at Superdome. At least 55 dead from Katrina's ripping through rest of Gulf Coast. Mayor of one Miss. town called it 'our tsunami.' And impending disasters coming from possible toxic waste/creepiecrawlies/refrigerators/eveven coffins washing down streets. Notre Dame de Bon Secour, intercede for your children along the bayou.

Congratulations! Great plug from SAM - can't wait to get myself a copy.

And yes - prayers for all those harmed by yesterday's devastating hurricane.

yay!

so when do we get our beloved blogger back?

Mark,

Congratulations. May there be many and various fruits to your labor!

Congratulations on a job well done! God bless you and yours.

Let me know when it's ready. I want a copy ASAP.

I 2nd that, Freddie!

Five hundred & fifty pages (or so), huh? Right on. I was expecting something along the length of Making Senses but this is excellent.

BTW, Mark . . . how great did it feel when the little tome left your hands to go to the publisher? Did ya do a jig? I'll bet you did.

I would have!

The Holy Spirit is alive and well! Been thinking about you and wondering if you were back. Congratulations on completing the book and will look forward to reading it.

Forgot to say that the Holy Spirit is the Catholic version of ESP, in my opinion.

Excellent and congratulations! Looking very much forward to it--and I've gotten "pre-approval" to buy it from the wife.

[The issue is not cost, it's the storage space.]

Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty Mark's free at last!

Waiting eagerly to purchase the book. Will keep tabs on its release.

(from the previous thread)

500-550 pages?! No wonder you dropped off the face of the Earth for so long.

Congratulations! Looking forward to reading it.

Hopefully, it will come out soon. By Christmas?

Oops, didn't see your post below.

Thanks be to God! I'll also be glad when you are back to blogging.

Take care and God bless!

This book IS SO NEEDED in the apologetics and armchair theologian world. I am looking forward to purchasing and reading this book.

Congrats, Mark. Really looking forward to this one. Make sure your publisher sends an advance bound galley to my attention, k?

Mark,

Congratulations!

I'd love to know what you made of the Mediatrix of All Graces and the connection between the Queen of Peace and the topic which must not be named.

Well done!

God Bless

Excellent!

This sounds really good and interesting. If that "Mary and the Church" book opened my eyes so much, a real summary of Mariology will probably blow my head right off!

You haven't finished yet Mark. Think of all that book signing you've got in front of you just to satisfy the commentors here who can't wait to get their hands on it. Arhh, the price of fame! Anyway, if you're pleased think of how pleased we are. When it comes to Our Lady, I reckon yeah I could possibly get along without God in my life but I'd be hopelessly lost without HER holding my hand and redirecting my gaze back to HIM. That's not blasphemy is it?

I *so* cannot wait to read this book. Thanks, Mark. And congratulations.

Congrats! So when should we expect the appearance on "Book Notes"?

Well done, Mark! I am sure your book will be a tremendous tool for those like me who want to get closer to Mary. May she use your book to open our hearts.

Congratulations, Mark. I look forward to reading it.

Great job! I look forward to getting you to sign my copy.

Huzzah! And Hizzah!, too, of course

Mark, how about a book signing event here at Holy Family?

Great news Mark, and God bless you for your determination.

So -

Mark's finished his book at long last,
We all think that that's a real blast.
And no-one can wait
To find out the date
when the time at the printers has passed.

Just a thought to all C&EI blokes and blokesses.

Mark has sacrificed much to bring this book to us and all Christians thoughout the world, in terms of time and personal cost, including, I'm sure, financial. He has missed out on at least three opportunities for a fund raiser, and to convince him that we really do want - nay, need - him back in the blogosphere, I suggest that we all, as many as are able, hit the PayPal button, and show our appreciation.
For me, I'm gonna kick in 200 bucks later this week when I get my Visa paid up
We all thank you Mark, and salute you.

Yeah how about a book-signing here at Holy Family in Mt. Waverley, Melbourne, Australia? :P

Congratulations, Mark!

And yes, prayers must continue in the wake of Katrina. There's a children's hospital in New Orleans that is under siege -- looters! Amy (Open Book) blogged about it. Lord have mercy on us..

Mark is done with his book? He's returning to the blogosphere? Woo Hoo!

That means it's time for another Steelers preseason update before Mark returns for real
The Steelers defense should be strong again this year. Defensive guru LeBeau has all his players returning for another round and word is he's added even MORE blitz packages to befuddle opposing QBs. The offense has more issues. Both Bettis and Staley are nursing injuries. That leaves the running duties to 3rd down back Vernon Haynes and fast Willie Parker. There is a lot of buzz about Parker's game breaking ability but it remains to be seen if he can do it as a regular starter. On the whole, expect the Steelers to not repeat last year's record of 15-1, but to once again be in the thick of the AFC Championship hunt.

On the other side of the state, McNabb and TO are trying to disprove the notion that QBs and receivers need to actually talk to each other to be successful. It's working so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if TO (or his uber-agent Drew) does something unexpected to really muck up the works.

Oh yeah, welcome back Mark!

+J.M.J+

Glad to hear it! Has it really been nine months now? Wow!

BTW, here's the url of Catholic Charities' relief fund for Hurricane Katrina, in case anyone wants to contribute:

In Jesu et Maria,

Congratulations Mark! I aim to read the book.......and to pay good money for the right to do so!

So when do we get "our" blogger back?

Eeeeexcellent!

You are the man!
