Hi Mark,

Love your blog and podcasts, and I might add I'm looking very forward to the book release.

So my question is this: where would I find a listing of all these great events in the Catholic community? Olson, Meisel, and Weigel in one weekend? Lucky you.

I live in Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Any ideas would be much appreciated, especially from a sinister convert.

Regards,
Jim

Chicago only won because they bought off Selig to keep the roof closed. Dang those prohibition era revenues and their investment returns!!

(Although, I have to admit, it was the best October weather Houston has had in years).

Mark: It was truly a great pleasure to finally meet in person and to chat a bit. It's also a pleasure to be described as an impressively tall (6'4"!) sinister convert, especially since not everyone notices exactly how sinister I really am. You, sir, are as perceptive as Seattle could ever offer. Keep up the wonderful work!

Mark, don't look now, but I think Carl just insulted your home town.

Did anything good ever came out of Seattle?

OK ... Heart.

Well, darn, I am all sorts of jealous now. I mean, don't I get any cabal points for being a convert and a priest? You would think that this would reek of machinations to make sure I could be in the proper place to influence, blah, blah, blah. I don't believe it. I tired of the joke before the reader could...

Maybe you could admit to your secret Jew blood, Father.

Victor,
there was a Jewish deli near the seminary in Philly where I always felt very much at home. Does that count?

Mark, I'm afraid I'm the one who dragged you into that argument. Vivian was accusing Victor Mortonstein and I of laughing at, not just her, but at holy saints and popes though the ages. I trotted out your excellent theory about Rad Trads being unable to distinguish between old sin and Tradition - which really made steam shoot out of Vivian's head.

Never underestimate the power of lox...
