thanks. i saw them years ago comptete in an Iron Man. The bike broke & the had to drop out. Inspiring

I was crying so hard that my girls came to see what was wrong. I'm posting this at my site, along with a link to Team Hoyt's website.

Thank you for sharing this. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I can't even finish this. Sobbing at work is frowned upon.

Very powerful! It reminded me of an important neglected theological theme - that Jesus is not only our Elder Brother leading us to the Father, but also a Father to us in His Humanity (the Father of the redeemed human race, the New Adam Who generates His family from the marriage bed of the cross). So we all are like the lad in his wheel chair, constantly carried around and supported by our Father Jesus who loves His sons and daughters and pours out his live for us.

So beautiful.

Glory to God - and thanks for blessing us with this.

Thanks. I needed to see that today.

Same for me. I had to stop when the tears were dripping down my face.

I'm the only one here today so I thought I could get away with watching it even if I did cry.

Of course the doorbell rings half way through.

Absolutely beautiful video.

And it should also be remembered that when Pope John Paul II himself was so ill in the latter years of his life - suffering in large part because of the failed attempt on his life - Christlike in his forgiveness of his attacker -, we didn't hide him away as an embarassment, but helped him to carry his cross.

Because authentic Christian leadership is to be the servant of all, and caring for the disabled _is_ a cross to bear, but the cross is the source of grace, and suffering is redemptive.

So in a uncannily self-referential way, it was particularly fitting that John Paul was the one wrote so eloquently of the dignity of the human person, and that his teachings were realized as such a public witness.

Awesome.

Just beautiful... I've added it to my blog too. Thanks.

It was good and inspiring. Sadly, it is only something the Americans could produce. We in Europe are so depraved that for anyone to produce such a video would invite ridicule. I can already visualise the sarcasm that would accompany such a video should it have been shown in the UK.

Thank you, Mark, for posting this inspiring video. It's really awesome!

Yah, me too, about the crying.

Of course, I couldn't help but put my own dear disabled children in the man's place, so I didn't cry as much as you'd think. I kept imaging the look of joy on my George's face if he were to do the same things as the young man in the video. Man, it'd be the best.

Right now, I feel so privileged and blessed to have such a important part in two of the sweetest, funniest, dearest people in the world. As their parent, I get to see things like this video everyday, several times a day. I always say that they teach me. George teaches me about love, and AnnaRose teaches me about joy. George is a great snuggler, and Anna has made me laugh everyday of her life.

Not to say it isn't hard. Thursday we travel two hours for their EEGs. How many parents of a 6 and 3 yr. old get to do that? And you should've talked to me a couple of years ago, when George was having all his seizures. But I can say with confidence that it's all worth it. And that I'm the luckiest mom in the world.

Aw, c'mon, Catholic Limey - what about "My Left Foot"?

Beautiful.

Maybe this is what Mark means by man being in his natural state....

Anyways, it was beautiful. I find myself happy that I am not so sophisticated as to sneer at such beautiful things.

Wow. Simply awesome. Thanks for posting this, Mark.

Beautiful…

I wonder what mike schiavo’s face will look like when Jesus walks up holding Terri Schiavo’s hand and asks why? And to the other entire euthanizing crowd out there, that goes for you too.

Why was this pulled?
If copyrighted can you give the link and title of the DVD?

Thanks,
Del
