I've never understood the logic of parents' assertions that it's safer for their kids to drink at home. They obviously don't give 2 cents for their kids' friends who go home after drinking.

When will these parents ever learn? A little over a year ago, a "hanging judge" in Virginia gave some parents 8 YEARS (not months) in the state pen for doing the same thing. The sentence was later reduced to just over 2 years. But still ...
