I think what they meant to say was that Poland is still too Catholic for their taste.

I think what they meant to say was that Poland is still too Catholic for their taste.

Bingo.

Bingo.

Exactly right!

I don't know if Catholicism has as much to do with it. There are plenty of secularized Poles in urban areas. Poland missed the so-called sexual revolution and the decades under communism prevented the development of homosexual-friendly host institutions.

I have added Amnesty International to my list of previously admired organizations that now disappoint me greatly (they'll be kept company by the likes of the Susan G. Koman Foundation, which has seen fit to direct some of the money received for breast cancer research toward Murder Inc. aka Planned Parenthood).

Amnesty International has made many worthy contributions to addressing true human rights violations experienced by political prisoners around the globe. Whay can't they stick to that noble aim instead of targeting (Catholic) Poland for not being sufficiently affirmative of gay "rights"....a situation that has NOTHING to do with true violations of human rights?

Sigh.

USA could learn a lot from Catholic Poland!

Don't we still have a surfeit genuine political prisoners of conscience languishing? Aren't there still more than enough regimes that trample willy-nilly over legitimate human rights?

Focus, Amnesty, focus.

Note to self: Write Auntie Gay thank you note for birthday socks.

Yay for Poland!
