The man has no scientific training whatsoever. He's a TV guy. Who cares what he thinks about global warming? |
|
But Mark, of course the world is cooling, now. Obama was elected! |

It reminds me of theology. A lot of it comes down to which tradition do you trust. The only difference with politics is there is no infallible church. Given how badly I did at finding true doctrine (before I discovered the church) I am quite pessimistic about being able to find much solid truth in the political mass of contradictory assertions. |

You know, Mark, the decade is almost up. |

I have no problem believing scientists when they talk of the trouble many of the artificial emissions (which result from inventions by scientists) cause our climate. I have no problem believing in climate change - it's been happening since recorded time. I also think some good has come from it in terms of getting us to think more about the world we live in. But it seems like during the 90s and first years of this decade, when winters were warm, snow seldom fell where it was supposed to, and summers were blistering hot and hundreds died every year due to heat, Global Warming was an easier sell. |

The man is a meteorologist. He has, in fact, scientific training. A person does not need to be hunched over in a lab to be considered a scientist. A person also does not need to be a published PhD to be very intelligent and insightful or to know his stuff. |
|
Michael - he is not a meteorologist. His degree is in journalism. Reading weather reports in front of a camera does not make a man a meteorologist. |

In January in Wisconsin, global cooling seems the more credible trend! |

Climate change is just around the corner. It mysteriously happens each March and April, sometimes lingering into May. I'm not saying we should panic, but the only way to stop it is to burn incansescent light bulbs and drive our cars a lot. |
|
I dunno - Houston has hit 100+ degrees for the past week. |
