Isn't that petition against novel teachings from Vatican II a cruel joke against its proponents?
I am fairly sure that Pope Benedict XVI could ask with a straight face "What novel teachings?".

“True Catholic Faith” is, according to this and many other Reactionary Dissenters, defined not by the love of Christ, but by being “anti-Jewish.”
This is certainly better than your first formulation, but still unjust to Jones. I don't begrudge you your right to think he's terribly wrong; just accurately represent his poition when you argue against it. Jones' position could be summed up as follows:
(1) The Church is defined by love of Christ.
(2) Because the Church is defined by love of Christ, the Church is opposed to (anti) rejection of Christ.
(3) The corporate identity of the Jewish nation is defined by rejection of Christ.
(4) Therefore the Church is anti-Jewish.
Of course, point (3) is very much disputable. If you want to dispute point (3), be my guest. I might even more or less agree with you. But don't go making ridiculous assertions like that Jones doesn't believe the Church is defined by love of Christ. He would put a "both... and" where you attribute to him a "not... but."

Implicitly accusing Jones of not believing "the Church is defined by love of Christ" is pretty much on the same level as accusing Jack Chick of "hating Catholics". Chick has gone on record saying he "loves Catholics". Indeed he said that personally to Jimmy Akin when they met. However it is impossible to read the man's psycho hate comics & believe what he says. Even thought I would concede Chick in his own weird way really does love us.
Jones is similar. I would in charity accept that he believes "the Church is defined by love of Christ" BUT his reactionary theology would suggest otherwise. I think that is the point.
Cheers Douglass.
