One of my universal rules in life is: Beware of women wearing scary jewelry--stuff like that oversized ring, and huge pectoral cross, and that leather thing on her wrist, although that might be some kind of brace or something. No really, my embittered World Lit teacher in college wore these enormous bracelets and earrings with feathers and beads. Another chronically angry gal I knew wore some big honkin' Phoenix Rising necklace. I'm tellin' ya, the jewelry's a warning. |
