A professor who publicly desecrates the Eucharist is clearly incapable of fairness toward Catholic students....
not necessarily.
While it makes me really sad to see any sort of aggressive, disrespect towards something that is so critical to a group's belief system we cannot make that inference. I think it just "means" that he doesn't share the same view as those Catholic students.
I am not Jewish, but I still have Jewish friends. I'm not an atheist, but I can still be kind, respectful and helpful towards a person who is an atheist.
God is about an active-sort of compassion. I don't think that is is very compassionate to make something into a witch-hunt.
god bless.

Given the notoriety of the recent incident, I think if Myers were unfair to students based on their religious beliefs, or even if someone had a whiny complaint about a getting a c in his class, we'd have heard about it. It sounds like his professional persona is incredibly different from his internet persona.

To Compassionately Concerned:
I appreciate your comment, but you miss the point: What Dr. Myers did was worse than painting a swastika on a synagogue. Would you still have Jewish friends if you did that?
