It's because we've got such a cool, award-winning water tower here.

peace,

Zach:

I will never forget driving into Ypsi and seeing that magnificent edifice silhouetted against the evening sky. I can see why so many leading Episcopalians with Special Interests might reverence it as symbolic of all that is holy to them.

Yeah, we went there for a friend's wedding many moons ago. He used that as a landmark. I won't say how he described it.

I, for one, will never submit to the yoke of Ypsilanti!

We native Ann Arborites still refer to it uncharitably as Ypsi-tucky.

I second John's cry for freedom: May God preserve us from this and from all benighted Ypsilanti-ish error!

Women in all aspects of the ordained ministries harnesses at least 50% of Christian resources.

Except that since only a tiny fraction of women are ordained, it doesn't get you 50%. And indeed, most men aren't ordained . . . .

Either ordination is not necessary to harness resources or they are wasting more than 90% of their resources.

Zach,

What year was that thing erected, BUILT?!! Built. What year was it built?

Victor, we Ypsituckians are firm believers in owning the insult. What's more, we have a Wal-Mart and you don't. So there.

I know someone who once convinced another that "Ypsilanti" meant "too poor to live in Ann Arbor" in Huron.

Yeah, he's a snob and the other guy was drunk, but still...

Ypsilanti locuta est...

And I'm on the floor, my beans having fallen out of my nose.

Everett -- Full Disclosure: I live in Plylivnovirthville now -- and we have a COSTCO!

Is it just me or does that tower resemble a ____?

Circumci...

I'm just glad that all of you folks that don't leave here in Ypsilanti (Ypsi-tucky, Little Detroit, etc.) still know us for our water tower.

Now please, continue with your submission.
