The nun-PLC who sued to keep a priest from being assigned to her parish should be summarily fired (if not executed--kidding)--because she seriously misunderstands that she is a stopgap.

Rather than lay or nun, they should use permanent deacons. My diocese is being very aggressive about recruiting for the permanent diaconate. I see how old our priests are and I think it's our way of trying to staff the diocese with something that at least resembles Holy Orders. Then you only need priests for confecting and confessing.
