I guess I'm gonna have to take y'all to Cowboys - the big country western night-club/dance hall here in town where the men wear big black hats and big belt buckles.

Mark, you are just dying to cast off your big city ways, I can tell. And I think you'd look great in a big black cowboy hat. We'll have to get you one while you are here.

If yer figgerin on bringin a truckload o'them Santa Cruz hippies with ye, tell 'em to mind the manners! C. Springs folks is right genteel.

Hi Mark,

You should stop by our store while you are in town.

Ian

Woohoo! Hip hip hurray for Colorado! Say hi to Woodland Park for me!

(Boy was I confused when I first heard of the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle)

You do need you to pre-register for this by August 1 '07 so we know how many to plan for. See you here!

Too late, I guess.

Nope, Kelly, its not too late.

Mark posted a dated marketing piece. If you are going to be here and want to come, feel free to e-mail us at info@siena.org or call 888 878 6789 and talk to Mike Dillon.

Coloradoan singing about California? I've spent extended periods of time in both states, and I tend to think Colorado is looking more and more like the Left Coast all the time, but for the scenery. ;^)

Have a great vaca, Mark.

Jeff:

You apparently haven't spent time in Colorado Springs .

Hey Mark -

If you find you might be up for lunch or dinner or a beverage with an apostate, do let me know. Despite our differences, I always enjoy meeting people from the blogosphere (most of whom will tell you I'm much nicer than I blog myself to be).

We just welcome #3 kid to our family, so scheduling it tight, but I work on the southside of Denver, so the northside of Co Springs isn't too terribly far.

Have a safe trip!

And, wow, my typos were something awful. Apologies.

This is true, Sherry. I hear the Springs is a great place!

Dear Giorgos Kogkas: Most Christians I know would be delighted if you told them that. I wonder if you know why.

Hi Mark, I liked your guest editorial in The Progress this week. The joining of the two themes (care of creation & care of others means torture is bad) was done very neatly. The explanation of things vs. people was done very well too. Think you'll be doing any more pieces for the Progress? I hope so! And what was with that giant puppet of St. James on the cover? Very medieval peace march or something....

I have always encouraged hippies, in Santa Cruz and elsewhere, to move to Colorado (or Kentucky or Ohio or wherever, so long as it is on the other side of the Sierra Nevada).

Hmmm... looks like that comment I responded to earlier has been deleted.

You listen to FIF? I am so bloody amazed and glad to hear it. Rock on!

Incidentally, Mark... Best of luck, God Speed on your trip and blessings on your edits and last-minute revisions.
