Mark, you are correct on the abortion prediction (that was easy). The guess on ordination for women is a little more difficult to verify.

Pax Vobiscum,

Conservative Catholic Pelosi was a subject on NPR's"Whaddya Know" this Saturday.
Author of "Blue Shoe" Anne Lamott happily described Pelosi as "a hardcore San Francisco liberal."

Conservative Catholic/ hardcore San Francisco liberal? Makes sense to me.

typical modern (or post-modern) politics where language no longer has any meaning. I wish her bishop would disabuse her of the notion that she is a Catholic in good standing as long as she is pro-infanticide.

That must mean she attends Mass and doesn't wearing "recovering Catholic" t-shirts on the floor of the House.

She has either four or five kids which proably makes her conservative as a Catholic.

Na, she probably had that many to increase the pro-choicers in the world, lol! Hardly conservative...if she's conservative then John Paul II is a downright fascist, hehehe.

well, Mark, this Pelosi thing of calling herself " a conservative Catholic" really is a case of a Clintonesque use of language.

The NYT story to which you link says this: "Yes, Ms. Pelosi is a liberal's liberal, with a rating from Americans for Democratic Action of 100 percent and a district that gave just 15 percent of its presidential vote to George W. Bush. "

If it weren't so tragic, this abuse of meaning would be laughable. It's amazing that she can get away with the crime of calling her self a conservative Catholic. i guess she thinks, again like Mr. Clinton, if i say something is true, then it is true. Perhaps it all depends on what the definition of "is" is.
