H,
People have to realize sometime that dogs are dogs, and will attack, even unprovoked. I do think that people who train dogs to be vicious and fight should be locked up and the key thrown away. However, I don't think that because the dog might have attacked someone. I feel that way because of that person had to have treated the dog to get them that way in the first place. If you ever watch the Animal Cops shows on Animal Planet, anyone with 1/2 a brain(maybe even less) can see that those dogs are horribly abused and mistreated. Poor babies!
The lady that I work with at the KY Humane Society has a Bull Mastiff/Pit Bull mix. Within a few minutes of Guppy(I know, the name doesn't fit) meeting me, she was slobbering me with kisses. She was the sweetest, most well-tempered, loving dog. It's all in the training!
Okay, I've given my $3.46 worth. I'll quit now. Yeah! Right.

Amen! I spent years standin' in the Group show ring next to American Staffs. (aka pit bulls) and never, ever had a problem. Had problems with a few poorly trained Cairns, but never a bull terrier.

Why is it "another story" because it attacked a family member? The law is the law! That is what my daddy always says. Actually he says "Da Raw is da raw!"
