We have two big dogs and spend some time every weekend in a "treasure hunt" over the acrre we have fenced in for the dogs. If I had a boatload of money, I might consider paying someone to do this for me along with some other yardwork. As it is, the treasure hunt permits us to monitor the dogs' digestive health.

I've been doing it for 4 years and make a damn sight more than I ever did in a 25 year I.T. career.

By my reckoning, M.B. brings in about 2.5 mil a year.

People pay for it, it's needed, it's wanted, it's a great gig. You're outside all day, meet people and dogs.

The smell? I've had dogs, cats, birds, fish, rats, snakes, hamsters and kids. Seen everything that can come out of a body. Nothin' bothers me anymore.

Try $60-70/hour on fer size. Seriously. $12 a yard, 5 yards an hour. Do the math.
