Murmur, Instigate, CLAMOR!!

Gravatar While looking for the videos to embed I found out that Kiran Chetrie of CNN had already drawn the connection to Mr. Miyagi. So I can't claim to have been the first to have thought of this, but I did come up with it independently. Hey, Liebnitz and Isaac Newton both invented the calculus without either knowing of the others work, so it does happen from time to time.

Gravatar The bottom line is Obama is another lying politician and he typifies exactly why I could not, nor cannot bring myself to vote in the current political system we have.

I refuse to live in illusion or see anything but the slimmest glimmer of hope. Change is a word that is not even in my vocabulary.

I like Obama but I simply believe he is in the cookie cutter mode of politicians that we have been enduring for to long now.

Not sure what this does to the theory of great minds . . .

Gravatar [I like Obama but I simply believe he is in the cookie cutter mode of politicians that we have been enduring for to long now.]

I have the same sentiment. I absolutely detest george w. bush and his band of thugs, but I don't hate Obama. I'm not happy with him, but I am not surprised at all by the way things are turning out. He has made a few changes for the good, but in the grand scheme of things, he is blundering his way along the same path we've been on for nearly a decade. (maybe more) I didn't belive any of that "change" baloney for a second-- all one had to really do was to check his actions against his words prior to the election to see this coming.

Gravatar BTW-- Happy FRIDAY everyone! I've been tied up all week with a busload of auditors at work-- I am happy now that we have sent them along their merry way, now that I have accounted for and justified every single Swingline staple in my stapler and every paperc clip in my desk. Those ten sheets of paper that got stuck in the copier, however, I was not able to explain.

Pascal and Sor Juana Inez de la Cruz also invented calculus, depending on who you listen to. The thing is, I'm not entirely sure what calculus is or why math nerds care but it's all good. No doubt. It's that al-gebra that gets my goat every time! Talk about Arab terrorism!

That's sad about those ten sheets of paper. I hope the beancounters were understanding.

Gravatar Well, I had to sign over my firstborn to make up for those ten sheets of paper, but at least now I will not go to jail for "waste and abuse" of taxpayer dollars. (and that makes me think that I could get away with war crimes, if I wanted to). snark.

It's a message to Kim Jong Il.

And now, the video:

Gravatar well now, that youtube sent me into a fit of the Friday afternoon giggles, green lib!

Gravatar Digby's asking for 10 million views of this video this weekend of insurance CEOs saying they'll continue to screw their customers with recission. Pass the word.

Gravatar Oops, I meant by the end of next week.

Gravatar Here's a joke I made up about DADT:

Didja here the one about the ship's navigator who was dishonorably discharged by the US Navy? He got blown off course.

B'dm Kssshh.

Gravatar About that video posted at Hullabaloo. Did I hear and interpret correctly that a) it is against federal law for an insurance company to take money from someone for years, maybe decades while they're healthy, then cancel their coverage because they got sick? and b) the companies do this anyway because the fine is a maximum $100 per day?

Compare and contrast:

A federal jury Thursday found a 32-year-old Minnesota woman guilty of illegally downloading music from the Internet and fined her $80,000 each -- a total of $1.9 million -- for 24 songs.

Does it strike you that the US courts have maybe come down just a little too much on the side of corporations? Just a wee bit?

Gravatar Yet, I suspect that the people who say she deserved this are the same ones who use the McDonald's coffee lawsuit as an example of why liability should be limited.
