Meanwhile Bush is 'pleading for patience' on the fourth anniversary of the illegal invasion of Iraq (NYTimes story.) Two salient points seem to have somehow avoided crossing his dullard mind - first, that the war has now surpassed World War II in the length of US involvement. Second, that the US public was drawn into the fiasco with assurances of a quick exit. Who can forget Rummy's infamous estimate, of "six days, six weeks, I doubt six months"?
Hi Rev! It was so great to finally meet you on Saturday at Joe's place! I wished I had looked a little better, though. After traveling 14.5 hours on a bus, I looked like hell. LOL I wished you could have stuck around longer too, but we all had a destination to get to, didn't we? Well, you got there but we never did (I've explained the nightmare on my blog if you care to read it)!!! We saw lots of protesting but didn't get to the main protest. Bummer.
Thanks so much for your patriotism, Rev! You were there when it got ugly on Friday night in DC. That must have been pretty amazing.
