Weirdly enough, I've been doing much the same project -- I just started Series 5, and it's all pretty great -- I think a bit into Series 2, the show started getting MUCH better than the first season. Series 3 and 4 are outstanding in my book.

I watched the first three episodes a few years ago and was completely turned off the whole idea. How could the guy behind Firefly have come up with this crap???

Well, after even more ragging from my Buffyfan friends, I recently watched the first season on Hulu, and I actually enjoyed it. I'm rewatching Battlestar Galactica right now, but as soon as I'm done with that happy, happy chore I'll get right back on catching up with Buffy.

And I perfectly agree with you on how hot David Boreanaz was in Season One as opposed to . . . ever again. (I personally cannot wait until the hotness that is Marc Blucas joins the cast in Season Four.)
