Nice to see another wanabo user. I love the idea of tagging in the OPAC (it's one of my wish list items for Liberty 3 along with feed generation) for the following reasons, a user who is bothered to tag is an an active user and is buying into the service as a provider of information. They create ontology on the fly and that can inform our decision making around the structure of the controlled vocabulary we are using.

So what if tagging is messy, it offers another entry point and the tag cloud reflects what's important to users and that's who we are here for.
