Gravatar Thanks Chris and thanks to all you guys for sharing what your community means to you. I think what you all seem to have together, especially among those of different Christian traditions, is unusual and not commonly found.

Since I felt the draw to go back into the Catholic Church and our church/community of vine & branches came to the end of it's life, I have experienced NOTHING resembling community in my Catholic circles here. It's very sad. And I've had people recount to me or say that you won't find it until you volunteer for something in the church. I could write an essay on why this is not a good thing, but suffice to say, it's discouraging. Thanks again - look forward to your e-mail Chris. Grace and Peace to all of you.

Gravatar Alan,
I totally share your experience, and your outlook. I am still grieving over losing our little community in Minneapolis.

What keeps me going and what has been truly a godsend and lifesaver to me is the community here at Saint John's which I feel a part of as much as it is possible without actually living inside the cloister.

Gravatar Good stuff Chris. Thanks for sharing.
