CHRIS MATTHEWS IS A RIGHT-WING BUSH ADMINISTRATION PROPAGANDIST & GE/MSNBC CORPORATE STOOGE NUMERO UNO

How may times do you hear the sickening Chris Matthews boast that he once worked for former Speaker of the House Tip O'Neill? How many of you really think he is a real Democrat? Well, Matthews had a very short career with Tip O'Neill before he went to work as a "journalist" in San Francisco just as other government operatives find their way to spread government propaganda and disinformation. Matthews is nothing but a tool for the establishment whores. Matthews makes no bones about it for his hatred of Hillary Clinton so when he bashes her it must be seen in that light. I am not crazy about Hillary but I do not hate her or bash the woman as the right wing see fit and how Matthews leads the anti-Hillary Clinton and the pro-war drums. Matthews supported the war in Iraq and the rest. Matthews also in a very clever way if you watch closely is an anti-Civil rights jerk as well. Well, here in true Chris Matthews form the pro-GOP propgandist is caught here by eyewitness accounts bashing the Democrats and the Clinton's. Just remember that Matthews is a basher who prods his guests to do some of his dirry work for him. Here is the partial report from the People for the American Way and Matthews appearance before this group in February of 2002, and I provided the link if you want to read the full report for yourself.

The events of September 11 have affected the discourse, themes and message of every interest and entity across the political spectrum, and this year’s 29th annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) was certainly no exception. Held on January 26-28, 2002 just outside our nation’s Capitol, 3,876 of America’s staunchest conservative enthusiasts gathered for three days of speeches, workshops and standing ovations for right-wing politicians, lobbyists, journalists and consultants including pundits David Horowitz and Ann Coulter as well as the National Rifle Association’s Wayne LaPierre.
http://www.pfaw.org/pfaw/general...t.aspx? oid=1626
This year’s CPAC boasted a list of 68 organizational and business co-sponsors including the Heritage Foundation, Eagle Forum, Traditional Values Coalition, the Family Research Council, The National Rifle Association, Young America’s Foundation and Human Events. Conspicuously missing from the speakers’ podium and display booths was the Christian Coalition, whose name was not to be found or referenced during the entire conference.

While President Bush was also nowhere to be found, either in person, via satellite or pre-recorded video (as he was at the 2000 Christian Coalition Convention and previous CPAC conventions), National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice, Drug-Czar Asa Hutchinson, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy Thompson made presentations on foreign policy, the war on drugs and stem-cell research respectively. As expected, there was overwhelming approval for Bush's performance in the past year in fighting the war on terrorism and cutting taxes, as well as for his plan for government-funded religion, also known as the faith-based initiative. Throughout the conference there was plenty of finger-pointing at liberals, dissenters, and others for being, in speakers' words, "stupid," "evil," "un-American," or even "future terrorists."

The majority of the speakers focused their messages on principles of less government spending, with an exception for the military, and more civil liberties with a major exception for women, minorities, Muslims, gays and lesbians, and "liberal college professors."

Day One

The conference opened with a speech from the newly appointed chair of the Republican National Committee and former Governor of Montana, Marc Racicot. Having been criticized by the Right for being overly moderate on issues such as abortion and gay rights, Racicot's mission was clear - to position himself further to the right to reinforce the bond between the Republican Party and the right wing. Echoing Bush's State of the Union Address, Racicot stated "Bush is advancing the culture of life at every moment and every opportunity." He also reiterated Bush's concern about the state of the Federal Judiciary.

A panel titled "Seismic Shifts in American Politics"featured pollster Kellyanne Conway, Fox News and Weekly Standard pundit Fred Barnes, and Chris Mathews of "Hardball" fame. All speakers noted a rightward shift in the American political spectrum. Fred Barnes began by stating, "There is a majority Bush conservative coalition in American_ We have reached a Republican moment, also a conservative moment." Kellyanne Conway continued by giving her "4 M's" on how to recruit women into the Republican Party: "marriage, mortgage, munchkins, and mutual funds."

Hardball's Chris Mathews concluded the discussion by arguing that the Republican shift was due to Democrat incompetence rather than Bush being a war-time president. In reference to Secretary Rumsfeld, Mathews stated, "Rummy is a matinee idol" who, along with Rudolph Giuliani, has established popularity via "rolling disclosure," (passing on information as soon as it becomes readily available) and "authenticity." Continuing the popular trend of Clinton scapegoating, Mathews stated, "The Dems are going to pay for the fact that every damn one of them lined up behind his lies." Concluding his speech and the panel discussion, Mathews used a metaphor of parents driving a car with the kids in the back seat. Democrats, which he refers to as "the bi-coastal party of whine," are the kids in the back seat while Bush and Rumsfeld are driving the car.

CHRIS MATTHEWS HAS ENGAGED IN GAY BASHING ON "HARDBALL" & HERE IS ONE EXAMPLE OF ENABLING GAY HATE TALK!!!!

Chris Matthews engages in gay bashing with the right wing as he entertains them on the "Hardball" show.

The Christian Coalition's Randy Tate recently provided an excellent example of how seamlessly Religious Right leaders move from a declaration of compassion to support for discriminatory public policy. On Hardball with Chris Mtthews, Randy Tate said that: "I think that as Americans, and particularly as a person of faith, that we need to extend Christian charity to all individuals. That doesn't mean in the public policy realm that we need to extend special privileges to individuals based on their private sexual behavior." Hardball with Chris Matthews, August 11, 1998
As the Don Imus program showed, Chris Matthews is a gay basher and gay hater, he finds guests that can speak for him about his hatred of gays and then claim the "guest said it, not me," and get away with the tarnishing of gays using this method of so-called "manufactured consent" but, which is really corporate elite propaganda. I don't have a good connection to watch videos on my computer.

Please print the transcript of the remarks he made so I can see for myself whether to write.

Gravatar Have any of you actually watched that clip or read the transcript? It's ludicrous to insinuate that Matthews was "telling a gay joke". He clearly indicated that he was quoting Michael Savage, whom he identified in a voice dripping with sarcasm as "the wonderful Michael Savage". He then goes on to say that he thinks the film will win the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Look, I'm glad this site is around to call out Matthews when he tilts to the right -- it's important that media figures who purport to be politically neutral have their feet held to the fire. But it's really a stretch to claim that Matthews is "homophobic". Be honest with yourselves. Rhetoric is necessary and important, but don't sacrifice your own honesty in a cynical attempt to whip up the left-wing equivalent of the religious right's fundamentalist fervor.
