By this comment, Matthews indicates that he thinks Democrats are:

Matthews' comments to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a Democrat, in which the two discussed Villaraigosa's planned Spanish-language Democratic response to President Bush's upcoming January 31 State of the Union address, were shameless racial stereotyping as well as a lie.
Matthews asserted that Spanish-speaking immigrants "sound like ... natural Republicans to me," and claimed that "everybody knows" that Puerto Rican, Cuban and Mexican immigrants "don't want a big social democracy" and that "[t]hey want free enterprise and entrepreneurialism," citing examples of opening a flower shop or "a bodega."
The Latino Coalition, a conservative GOP organization, recently concluded that Hispanic/Latino voters are flocking to the Democrats in huge numbers showing the results in their latest nationwide Hispanic voters poll. Among Hispanic voters, the Democrats have a stunning 61-21 lead in Congressional contests. In party identification, Democrats have a 35-point lead (58-23) over the GOP.
Further, the poll shows that Democrats have huge leads over Republicans as the party better able to handle a wide variety of issues: being in touch with the Hispanic community (+41); providing affordable health care (+40); improving the economy (+31 points); improving education (+30); and representing your views on immigration (+29). The one exception to this pattern is on “keeping America safe and fighting terrorism”, where the parties are dead-even (and even here, the report notes, this tie is a sharp decline from Bush’s 14 point lead over Kerry on this issue before the 2004 election).

First, I don't wish to defend Matthews against the assertion that he is biased. He is very clearly biased - in favor of the left. What I think many of you have misinterpreted as assertions of opinion-as-fact are in fact "devil's advocate" rhetorical questions. He does this to both sides. He is not Bill O'Reilly.
And he didn't compare Michael Moore to Osama bin Laden, he was pointing out that Bin Laden was starting to sound like more like Moore. If you are uncomfortable with the similarity of their positions, that isn't Chris Matthews' problem.
Quite honestly, I laughed out loud at the idea that Chris Matthews was a shill for the Right. You people need to find a hobby or something.
I'm liking Matthews more and more, and I'm disliking the liberals more and more. Chris actually paid a compliment to Latinos by saying they were hard working and advocated an entreprenuerial environment.

I read, then reread Matthew's conversation with Villaraigosa and couldn't find a problem with it.

I think the argument you're trying to make is that if Matthews respects a person's ethics or beliefs and tries to "adopt" those individuals into his camp, he must believe the exact opposite of the other camp. And you guys find that "offensive and racist"?
