Well, I'm glad to see someone bothered to update this site, although you've missed a lot since the last time someone posted. Any guidance from our fearless leaders on what to do next? We've written congress, advertisers . . . anything new? Are we keeping up appearances here or really doing something? What about new MSNBC adverstisers? Online advertisers?
The other day, Tweety let slip a reference to "we Republicans" and quickly moved on.

The Communist List that Joe McCarthy spoke of, but never revealed in his West Virginia speech has finally been found. Chris Mathews has it. I can't wait until Chris refers to "Card Carrying Communists" in the State Department setting foreign policy.
Or starts using "commie-pinkos." I don't think he has resurrected that hilarious term yet, but you know it's coming. And I doubt Matthews slipped "we republicans" in accidently. I'm sure he slipped that one in very much on purpose to flag down those Fox Viewers to come his way. He's such a ratings whore, I doubt he is beneath doing anything. I have to say as much as I hate to let this guy off the hook, that it is probably best just to ignore Matthews because all we did by drawing attention to his stupid rightwing wacko ways is lift his ratings from the gutter. Probably the best thing bloggers can do is investigate the bastard and find out what it is that made him into such a freak. There is something behind this more then ratings. I don't think it was "9-11". His conversion seems to be much more recent....
So was what Mr. Matthews said wrong? Were there or were there not communists who infiltrated the US government back then? Did McCarthy uncover some of them or not? Did the movie "Good Night, and Good Luck" completely cover up the fact that McCarthy was not completely wrong or not?
Even the black lady featured in the movie was later found to have been signed up as a communist. Sheesh.
Oh, I'm sorry, do you guys actually believe that the whole infiltration by communists back then is a completely made up story? If so, you might want to talk to some people in Russia would might say otherwise.

I've looked at your home page Seixon and you make Coulter sound sane. Peoples lives were destroyed by McCarthyism. Innocent People. What they did was criminal. McCarthyism was a cruel purposeful abuse of power used to destroy people they didn't like. No one, except crackpots like you and Coulter justify McCarthyism under any circumstances. It's creepy at best. Say a liberal came in and decided because you are a rightwing extremist that they need to "take you out", so they accuse you of committing a crime you didn't commit. They put you on trial and make you look like an embezzelor or a child molestor and the rest of your life your are labelled. Will you look back and say, oh it's okay what they did it because there were real embezzelors and childmolestors out there. No, somehow I think you would want those people and the system that destroyed you demonized and rightly so. Only the right doesn't mind if people are destroyed unfairly in the name of politics. NeoCons have proven that time and time again the past 5 years. The end always justifies the means to them no matter how big the lie, so it doesn't surprise me a NeoCon shill like you or Matthews would be reminicing about the good old days of McCarthyism. I'm sure Matthews has been thinking about this because he wants to shut up the people who have outed him, but people are getting sick of the lies and will continue to fight back.
Chris Matthews suffers from his Irish Catholic background. These folks could never completely get rid of their ferocious anti-communism, pro-fascist and anti-Jewish mindset.

You purposely missed the point.
McCarty was not completely wrong - as George Clooney's film would have you believe after watching it.
It's simply about showing history as it was, not how some people wish it was. Clooney's film rewrites history by pretending that some of the people even pictured in the film were not communists - when they actually were.
Not once did I say anything about supporting everything McCarthy did, but partisan goons like you only see things in black and white and when I give you one inch, you take one mile.
Nothing Matthews said was wrong. Face it. You don't need to tar and feather me as some kind of right-wing Ann Coulter wannabe. Mostly because anyone who knows me would laugh at you for probably an hour straight for saying that.
Try to step out of the monochrome partisan world and discover the colors that us normal people see.
Seixon: You conservatives always miss the point when attempting to defend McCarthyism: It doesn't matter whether or not there were Communists in the populace or body politic. You see, we here in America have the right to pursue whatever political ideologies we damn well want to, because that's the beauty and inanity of living in a free society! Political freedom is what separated us from the Soviets. Don't you appreciate the irony of McCarthy resorting to the exact same tactics the Soviets used to root out their political enemies? KInd of like the redneck country music crowd that espouse the virtues of America's freedoms while burning Dixie Chicks records like the good little fascists that they are.
