Hi Verdandi. I mention where I got the metal from in both my blog & video. I got it from a can of corned beef. :P

Verdandi: hahaha. there's nothing wrong with your palette smelling like corned beef! :P LOL. jk. but seriously speaking just soak it in a bowl filled with warm water & soap for like 10 minutes, wash it, and then dry it off with paper towels REALLY well and it should be completely clean. :P no corned beef smell, i swear. LOL.

Are you going to do a video tutorial showing how to press the pigments properly?

Stephanie T: No, because there are TONS of tutorials showing how to press pigments on youtube. :P The tutorial I used is this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s...h?

That's the one by coastal scents on how to press mineral pigments using their EZ Prez Pressing Medium. Also, the description they provided on the side along with the video really do break everything down very good.

!!!! Wow finally a pressing medium that works with mineral eyeshadows!! Now this is just more excuse for me to buy a bunch of mineral eyeshadows and press them! The case also looks so cute, and for $7.95 it's a steal compared to MAC. Thanks for sharing this

Jackie: Hi. You're welcome for the review. The styrofoam lining is glued to the bottom but you can definitely take out. I did! LOL. :P You just have to use a knife to carefully pry it out. It's not hard to take out since it's just glued in. :D

Aw, I wanna press pigments now! Haha! I have been wondering about that CS palette, I think I will buy one now! But just a quick question... how much pigment is actually needed to be pressed? I have a bunch of 1/4 tsp. samples... would that be enough? Thanks girl!

After reading Nessa's pressing pigment post, it got me to thinking as well. Discovered a method that doesn't get nearly as messy and doesn't kill your hands from pressing so hard. It's kinda lengthy (I tend to blab a lot), but you may get some good ideas by reading about it here. Pressing Mineral Eye Shadows. HTH.
