Gravatar Iraq under Saddam was a virtual utopia with wonderful healthcare and education. Unfortunately for only a small minority of its citizens. The rest of the Iraqis enjoyed systematic torture, amputations, human shredders, gang rapes, poisoned gassings, political imprisonment, sanctioned executions, mass graves and countless other inhuman atrocities.
Yes, there is death and destruction in Iraq presently. The overthrow of Saddam has created a vaccuum that many wish to fill and they have chosen a violent path. The present day Iraqi at least now has a glimmer of hope to be free and unafraid. That is the mission of the American and allied soldiers. A democratic
government that allows its people to choose its destiny. America does not want to keep its soldiers there one day longer.

How much did the Pentagon pay you for this piece of propaganda and disinformation?

Gravatar What America is saying about Iran scares me, 'cuz it's almost identical to what they did to Iraq... I mean, did they not learn ANYTHING from Afghanistan and Iraq? Are they THAT stupid?!

Gravatar Tony,
By the way it was a great article. I encourage you guys to read the full link.

Iran is the latest stronghold of the non-american alignement. But I am missing something I think and I asked this question yesterday and it got lost in the threads.

So here is my question again: would it be possible to say that Hezbollah's roots come from the Muslim Brotherhood? I read stuffs and all and I've never been able to fully grab the full context.

Thanks in advance

Gravatar Steven Rix,

No, Hizbullah's roots are independent of the Muslim Brotherhood movement. Hizbullah can be directly traced to the Islamic revolution of ayatollah Khomeini, with its Shiite activism, anti-imperialism and championing the poor and oppressed.

Gravatar I understand the position of the salafists and Hamas with the Muslim Brotherhood, but I read also something between Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood (who backed up HA) that have 1 common objective and then I got lost. I will try to find the link although the Middle-East is complicated enough.
