I'm no fan of the Pope and entertain thoughts that he's not especially beneficial to...let's say...peace in the world and tolerance in general.
I did read a transcript of his speech and after doing so came to the opinion that the reaction in the Muslim world is unfounded.
He's an idiot for even mentioning the religion and its prophet because we know there's only one outcome to that....Muslims going apeshit.
Pursuing your line of thought, if a mullah said that Jesus' teachings as espoused by Ferdinad and Isabella led to the Crusades, do you think in 2006 people would riot in the streets.
Do you really think that there can be peace if people aren't even trying to understand one another?

It should be obvious to everyone now, that we Catholics who have figured out that the Vatican is under Zionist control, have been right all along. They labeled us “extremists,” “sedevacantists,” “ultra right-wingers,” “fascists,” “Nazis,” etc. But when the Jews and their useful idiots have to resort to hurling those epithets at you, it usually means you’ve hit upon the truth.
