Concerns about Israel’s use of non-conventional and experimental weapons in the Gaza Strip are growing, with evasive comments from spokesmen and reluctance to allow independent journalists inside the tiny enclave only fuelling speculation.The most prominent controversy is over the use of shells containing white phosphorus, which causes horrific burns when it comes into contact with skin. Under international law, phosphorus is allowed as a smokescreen to protect soldiers but treated as a chemical weapon when used against civilians.

The Israeli army maintains that it is using only weapons authorised in international law, though human rights groups have severely criticised Israel for firing phosphorus shells over densely populated areas of Gaza.

But there might be other unconventional weapons Israel is using out of sight of the watching world.One such munition may be Dime, or dense inert metal explosive, a weapon recently developed by the US army to create a powerful and lethal blast over a small area.The munition is supposed to still be in the development stage and is not yet regulated. There are fears, however, that Israel may have received a green light from the US military to treat Gaza as a testing ground.

Yes, but we were stopped before we reached Arish by state security, who had set up a roadblock. Then they started running towards the bus to forbid us from leaving it. They looked very scary. They were ready with their sticks and helmets and all. That same day there were demonstrators in Arish of which five were arrested and beaten up. There were a hundred thousand in Alexandria who were also attacked of course, and in Azhar, and in Cairo. So the whole country was demonstrating. The police were obviously afraid we would get to Arish after the clashes already happening there.

Molly About the lack of Synagogues constructions , etc.. I do not support such a thing of course and i believe each faith should be free to construct Mosques synagugoes and churches but Democtractic Israel right now does not allow such things for Muslims and christians within israel , in fact many Arabs showed delapitated Churches and mosques in Haifa and other arabic neighbourhoods within israel and they cant even renovate them .

Yes Anonymous :there are Many tombs from the saddam era and im sad about that , those tombs contained shias , sunnis and also Christians . many thousands died during the 12 Yeears of US sanctions , thousands have died during the 8 years of war with Iran , many have died during the Attacks of US in 1991 . im not defending Saddam he was as Bas as most Arab Leaders , but at least they had good services , good education , good healthcare compared to the rest of the Arab countries .
