Israel will never attack Iran. If it wanted to attack Iran it would not advertise it in an article on times and it would certainly not wait till the nuclear facility is complete. It would have done so ages ago just like it did in Iraq in 1981.
By the way my comments keep dissapearing.

You don't understand?
End of Israels hegemony means end of jewish supremacism - means
Eretz Israel is dead.
They have the power - 400 A-bombs - and the means to involve the US
into the mess - because they have full media control - see Carter.
The situation is similar for the US.
No longer a credible threat => end-of-empire => no longer control
of the oil.
Even if Israel did not exist - it's likely, that the US attacked Iran.
But having Israel - the country ruled by rabid dogs - on the plate
means, that attack is very likely.

Layla Anwar,
I have been saying that the U.S. will attack Iran for a couple of years now. In a comment I wrote (I think on AA), I suggested that Usrael would make the first application of the new doctrine of the use of tactical nuclear weapons. I even went further by saying that the U.S. goal would be a total Iranian surrender in the Japanese manner.
Those who exaggerate possible Iranian backlash do not understand the savagery of Usrael and the importance of this occupation to the empire. Usrael, after destroying the nuclear facilities will send an unambigious message to iran: If you attack oil facilities in the Gulf, or U.S. soldiers in Iraq or if you send missiles over Israel, the next nuclear attack will be on Tehran.
I think that the mullahs will be hit hard and their regime toppled.
I agree with europe.

If the 'plans' are so 'secret' how come they have been 'leaked' to the Times? I agree with Layla - it's all a bluff.

Irish Eyes,
The article addressed the issue of why reveal the details when it said, "Military analysts said the disclosure of the plans could be intended to put pressure on Tehran to halt enrichment, cajole America into action or soften up world opinion in advance of an Israeli attack."
I do believe that it is more than a bluff. Iran can indulge in such a belief to its own detriment.

may be the israelis are trying to test the Iranians . Usually when they threaten Syria , syria keeps very quite because it lacks the strenght to respond . Not Iran . I hope they ll be able to defend their country and teach the zionists a lesson .

May be true, but does not change the overall picture.
I expect to see something similar to Serbia.
The destruction of their civilian infra-structure, until the mullahs
surrender.
On the other hand - yes - it's a large set of equations with many
variables. Hard to predict the outcome in the long run - because
occupying Iran is not an option.
The problem of the madmen in Washington and Jerusalem is to
find suitable puppets to replace the mullahs. I can't see them.

Somehow I doubt that Iranian intelligence gets its info. from the Times, though. I would say they are well-informed enough to know if such 'plans' are credible - I doubt they need to read about them in an English newspaper.
